I was born in Moscow and moved to the US when I was six. I moved around a lot as a kid, city to city, rebuilding every time. Then I got to college in Boulder and went to my first Red Rocks show in 2015 to see Big Gigantic. That was it. I was going every week, and Red Rocks was where I finally built a group of people that felt like family. Watching what the music did to a room, how it made people happy and pulled them together, is when I knew I wanted to create that feeling for other people.

I barely played out in Boulder. That changed in Los Angeles, where I picked up local gigs at Waterfront, Victorian, and Buffalo Club — but I knew my ceiling was right there unless I started putting out my own music. I began producing in 2022 and released my first songs.

That's also when BBYFERG came to life. I'd been going by Fergsace, and I was frustrated with my progress and second-guessing all of it. My support system in LA kept pushing me, always telling me to stop being a baby, Ferg. It stuck, and BBYFERG was born.

My first big booking was opening for Cheat Codes at Academy LA in May 2024. That opened the door to the Insomniac circuit — Academy and Exchange in LA, TIME in OC, NOVA in San Diego — and my Colorado network led to Belly Up and Snow Lodge in Aspen. Since then I've supported Dillon Francis, Noizu, Disco Lines, Ship Wrek, Ahmed Spins, Ben Sterling, Niiko & Swae, and OMNOM.
